Welcome to the online meeting place for the Student Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, SAMFT. We are a chartered student organization at
Texas Woman’s University, Denton campus.
The family therapy program is a part of the
Department of Family Sciences. The
department also offers reduced fee individual and family counseling
for many families in Denton and surrounding communities. If you would
like more information on our Denton
Counseling and Family Development Center you can call the office for more information:

after you graduate from Texas Woman's

Dr. Bradley and Diane Ayers
will be speaking at our event and both are AAMFT approved
supervisors. Diane Ayers LPC, LMFT, LCDC, former
director of the TWU Counseling and Family Therapy Clinic,
and she is currently working as a therapist with Counseling
and Consulting Associates of North Texas in
McKinney.

- To promote community awareness
of and provide resources for the
Counseling and Family Development Center offering counseling
for individuals, couples and families in Denton, tx.
- To serve as an information and
resource base for members and alumnae
- To encourage professional interaction
between students and area professionals
- To promote professional development
of members
- Voting membership of this organization is open to any full or part-time graduate student at Texas Woman’s University who has been accepted into the Family Therapy Program.
- Non-voting membership is open to any full or part-time student at Texas Woman’s University as an undergraduate or graduate student who has the desire to work toward the purposes of this association.
- Dues of this organization shall be $10.00 from August to August of any calendar year.
All dues are renewable each August and must be paid within one week of joining.
